And the winner is …
Hundreds of people had gathered at the community center to await the election results. Police were on hand to make sure everyone stayed in order and the opposing sides were grouped away from each other to prevent any kind of madness from breaking out, even though it probably would anyway. Alcohol and counseling were on hand for those that would need it.
Unfortunately, Tom, the head of the community center, had forgotten to secure a PA system. He tuned into the news station on his phone and the sound was barely audible for those in the front row, let alone those in the back. The chatter of confusion and complaints eliminated the already very slim chance of hearing anything.
