With dinner having gone remarkably well, I walk my date into the living room of my home with high confidence. Yeah, she likes me, I can tell. Why else would she be here if she didn’t like me? OK, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, there’s still time to blow it.
She sits on the couch and I walk over to my sound system to fumble around with the CDs. I nearly start to sweat as I cannot find something suitable for about two minutes. She is probably getting impatient and I’m probably looking stupider as time goes on. Still, I can’t just put anything on. No, that’s a one-way ticket back to Singletown for sure. The right thing, just the right thing, can totally make your evening … and I was intent on finding it. “Can you turn it down a bit?” she asks.

“CAN YOU TURN IT DOWN A BIT?”
“I’M SORRY, I CAN’T HEAR YOU! LET’S JUST SETTLE INTO THE MUSIC!”
Yeah, she totally likes me.
