He had to write quickly, they were coming.
Aside from his furious scribbling, all Frank could hear were footsteps. They clanged loudly and out of sync with one another. Based on his hearing, and Frank had an excellent sense of hearing, he determined that there were 3 men currently three floors above him … they should be upon him in 3 to 4 minutes barring an accident.

The men were running down to the basement of a factory, their feet clanging on the metal catwalks. They knew Frank could hear them so there was no reason to move slowly. Even if they had moved as silently as possible, Frank would still hear them; as I mentioned, Frank had an excellent sense of hearing.

Without breaking his concentration to think about the approaching men and how he would escape them, Frank kept writing. The secret formula was written on the wall he faced and he used his IOGEAR Mobile Scribe Digital Pen to copy every last bit of it. He just transcribed the last word when the men broke into the room.

“You aren’t going anywhere,” one of them said. “Colonel Sanders gives his secret formula to no one.”

With that, another of the men walked forward and ripped the piece of paper with the copy to shreds, with his teeth. Defeated, Frank walked to the exit amidst the guffaws of the three men. Just before he was out the door, Frank suddenly changed his expression.

“Hah! I used my digital pen to write that! You may have taken my original, but everything I wrote is stored in here! I just need to get to my computer!”

The men fell silent for a second before one of them said, “Well that’s too bad … we’ve stolen your computer!”

Angry but undeterred, Frank countered with, “Then I’ll just use someone else’s!”

“We stole everyone’s computer.”

“No you didn’t.”

“Yes we did.”

They did.
