And then, the culprit was revealed.
“It was you,” are the only words I can muster upon coming face to face with the villain.

I stare blankly ahead, shaking my head slowly as my jaw loosens the slightest bit. Really? Him? How could this be? This whole time I thought I was chasing someone else, that someone else was responsible for this horrible crime … but I had been with the criminal all along.

“Ah yes, you thought I was just plugging into your car cigarette lighter socket and transmitting MP3s to an open FM station, didn’t you? Not a chance. I’ve been busy … busy keeping you distracted. All those ideas I gave you? I laughed under my breath with each affirmation of trust you extended my way. But now, the jig is up.”

Collecting myself, I look around the room. It appears I’ve been taken to some kind of basement, for what purpose I don’t care to discover. A single light bulb dangles overhead, providing brief but clear illumination to the darker corners of the room. Lying up against the wall is a pile of bricks. Despite being tied to a chair, my movement is only partially restricted; in one swift movement I lift my body and the chair up to charge at the i-mobile Car MP3 Player, sending him towards the bricks.

Bruised and somewhat damaged, the i-mobile Car MP3 player lifts his body slightly and curses me.

I run out of the basement and out the house. Something seems off, however. I turn around and realize that I was being held captive in my own home. How did I not recognize this? I walk back into the house and start making some bacon.
